Who pays us, and for what?
The only income this website is designed to earn is a fee from an independent scanning centre when you ask us to introduce you to it. You fill in the "Request a private MRI" form. If a partner centre covers your area and body area, we pass your request to that one centre so it can call or email you. The centre may pay us for that introduction. Some arrangements may pay per introduction; some may pay only if the centre books you a scan. Either way, the money comes from the centre, not from you.
On 5 October 2026, no partner centre had signed with us yet. Until one does, we store requests but nobody will contact you about them, and the thank-you page tells you so.
Do I pay anything?
No. You do not pay us anything, at any point. If you go ahead with a scan, you pay the centre its price, or your insurer does. The fee is paid by the centre out of its own marketing budget. Your price is whatever the centre quotes you, and you can compare that quote with the published prices in our tables before you agree to anything.
Why tell me on the button?
Because that is where you decide. The line under the "Ask a centre to contact me" button says: "A partner scanning centre may call or email you. We may be paid for the introduction. This is not a confirmed appointment and not a diagnosis." We repeat it in the footer of every page, and here, so it is never hidden.
Does money change what you publish?
No, and here is how we keep it that way:
- The price tables are not partner lists. They include centres that are not partners and may never be. We list a centre because its prices are published and we could check them, not because it pays us.
- No pay-to-rank. We do not sort centres by fee. Tables are grouped by centre type so you can compare like with like.
- We delete rows we cannot verify. That applies to partners too. A partner does not get a row unless its price is published and checkable.
- No star ratings or "best" lists. We do not publish ratings, reviews or "best clinic" rankings.
- Limits come first. Every page says what a private scan cannot do before saying what it can.
Why only one centre?
Passing your details to several centres at once would earn more, and it would mean several calls you did not ask for. We pass your request to one centre that covers your area. If that changes, we will say so on this page and on the form before it happens.
What if no centre covers my area?
We tell you. The thank-you page says honestly that no partner centre covers your area yet, and nobody will call you about that request. We still store it, as our privacy notice explains, so we can see where people need a centre. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Do you sell my data?
No. We do not sell or rent your details to anyone. We pass your request to one scanning centre, for the purpose you consented to, and to no one else, apart from the service providers we need to run the site (such as our web host and email provider), who act on our instructions. Our privacy notice has the full detail.
Do you advertise?
Not at the moment. If we ever show advertising, it will be labelled as advertising, it will be kept apart from the price tables, and we will update this page first.
Who decides all this?
Pete, the editor, who owns PASECOM GROUP LTD. See about for who we are and editorial policy for how we check what we publish.
How would I know if a centre is a partner?
The form and the thank-you page tell you what happens to your request. If a partner centre covers your area, the thank-you page says that one centre may contact you. If none does, it says so. The price tables do not mark partners, because a table row is about a published price, not a commercial arrangement. If you want to know whether a particular centre has paid us, email hello@private-mri.co.uk and we will tell you.
What do we expect from a partner centre?
That it is registered with the Care Quality Commission, that it contacts you only about the request you made, that it gives you a clear price before you agree to anything, and that it does not pressure you to book. If you have a bad experience with a centre we introduced you to, tell us. We would rather lose a partner than keep sending people somewhere that treats them badly.
Do you earn money from cookies or tracking?
No. We do not run advertising trackers or sell data to advertisers. If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to count visits and completed requests, without your name, email, phone number or postcode. If you decline, analytics stays off. See the privacy notice.
Is Private MRI free to use?
Yes. You never pay us. A partner centre may pay us a fee if you ask us to pass your request to it.
Do centres pay to be listed in your price tables?
No. The tables include centres that are not partners. We list a price because it is published and checkable.
How many centres get my details?
One. We pass your request to one centre that covers your area. If none does, nobody is sent it.
Looking for a scan? Request a private MRI. Free for you; the centre may pay us.
